Silly Vassily: Servant of the Feline Monarchs by RTJDudek Silly Vassily: Servant of the Feline Monarchs by RTJDudek
Instead of artist's comment :

In the aftermath of the German and Soviet invasion of Poland, which took place in September 1939, the territory of Poland was divided between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union (USSR). Both powers were hostile to Poland's sovereignty, the Polish culture and the Polish people, aiming at their destruction. Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union coordinated their Poland-related policies right until the Operation Barbarossa, most visibly in the four Gestapo-NKVD Conferences, where the occupiers discussed plans for dealing with the Polish resistance movement and future destruction of Poland. There is some controversy as to whether Soviet policies were harsher than those of the Nazis.

The Soviet Union had ceased to recognise the Polish state at the start of the invasion. About 500,000 Poles were arrested and imprisoned before June 1941, including civic officials, military personnel and other "enemies of the people" like the clergy and the Polish educators: about one in ten of all adult males. Nonetheless, there were large groups of pre-war Polish citizens, notably Jewish youth and, to a lesser extent, the Ukrainian peasants, who saw the Soviet invasion as the opportunity to take part in political and social activity outside of their traditional ethnic or cultural environment. Their enthusiasm faded with time, as it became clear that the Soviet repressions were aimed at all groups equally, regardless of their ideological stance.

It is estimated that some 150,000 Polish citizens died during the Soviet occupation.

Silly Vassily made another "glorious socialist revolution of the so-called working class" - this time, he hired himself as multipurpose servant of Penelope and Mona, both in ornamented Milanese plate armours armed with two-handed swords from 16th century. Crowns worn by them have to indicate them being monarchs ( up to you, if queens or princesses ).

Compare their armours with chainmail worn by Vassily and his two-handed plunger -2, +4 against toilet seats. I put the Polish coat of arms from 16th Century, because I am proud of my homeland and our traditions. Besides, I think it matches the tapestry behind Penelope.

I would like to thank :iconstan4us: and :icondcleadboot: for checking the beta versions of this work and advising me during progress.

Penelope and Mona belong to PAWS Inc.

I guess we all can agree that at least the Soviets were more ¨politically correct¨than the Nazis regarding killing people ... the Soviets killed everybody, the Nazis only Jews, Gipsys and Slavs ... ocasionally Greeks and Italians due to certain unfortunate circumstances !

Still, murdering people is an act of violence - no matter who is killed, state laws consider such actions as crime, Christianity considers those as sin, even the law of nature ( atheists are said to be following it ) disapproves this kind of violence.

Since Nazis and communists ( including Soviets ) have tradition of murdering innocent people, they only prove themselves being mere bandits without moral rules or human values.

Speaking of Soviets - the one I drew ( left, standing behind Penelope in blue plate armour ) is intended to look ridiculous ( broken chainmail, dunce hat, unwise face expression and matching weapon ), since he has to be allegory of average communist ( wise people like we do not approve such inhuman regimes ;) ).

Speaking of inhuman regimes ... how do you see the future ?
I frankly see something similar to what happened during communism, to take shape. And guys like us won´t be liked by the new bosses.

You mean the whole mess with worldwide crisis ?

Basically, Chinese from People's Republic of China are partially responsible for it due to their currency manipulations and aggressive way of introducing their goods to markets. Also American and European businessmen, who concentrated their businesses there, take another part of responsibility for crisis, since they harmed economies of own countries. Last but not least, countries that sell oil increased prices of "the black gold" due to recent Middle East movements. Since most of those countries are Arab states and the Arabs often prove, how do they like non-Muslims, it is not impossible their price campaign may be new form of Jihad against the world they hate that much - Europe and America...

Not sure about Romania, but here, in Poland, communists do not have as much to say in politics as they wish they had. Besides, even if they take over government in ANY of the civilized countries, they cannot introduce Stalinism that fast, unless they desire counter-revolution aimed at them. I doubt people will be that stupid to allow bunch of drunken/stonned idiots ( communists ) taking away citizen freedoms.

Remember how did people protest against ACTA ? Same will happen, should communists gain power in governments and limit freedoms.

Yes, the crisis and this constant tension of war that can broke out between Iran and Israel, thus involving the rest of us.
I mean, they take advantage of these situations to take us more of our basic rights. And usually this crap happens during socialist goverments but i sadly noticed that those of right also do the same stuff.
I´m telling you my friend, a real nasty shitstorm is comming !!!

Iran is challenging the entire world - Israel is just their primary target of planned attack. On the other hand, weird the rest of Muslim world refuse to stop Iran - Ayatollahs in Teheran keep forgetting, that MUSLIMS inhabit lands close to Israel. If the Ayatollahs from Teheran nuke Israel, they WILL CAUSE MUSLIMS FROM GAZA TO DIE WITH THE ISRAELIS; at the same time, MUSLIMS FROM JORDAN, LEBANON, SYRIA and EGYPT will feel the radiation after explosion. This means they will be dying from post-radiation disease.

How do you call Muslims, who want to kill other Muslims ? I would name such "traitors of Islam". I cannot believe Muslims from Arab Peninsula countries hate the Israelis so much, that they accept being nuked by Muslims from Iran. Since Iranians are Shia Muslims and most of Arab are Sunni Muslims ( they fight against each other just like Roman Catholics and Protestants did in 16th Century in Germany , just they use more lethal weapons now known in 1555 ).

Best would be, if there was a way to make those Muslims from Middle East start Jihad against themselves, so they would weaken each other before they threaten the Christian world and Israel.

About socialism growing:
You cannot allow those fans of Stalin turning you into slaves of their system like yet 23 years ago. The good news are that Romania is part of NATO and EU, organizations despised by communists - should they start turning Romania into GULAG, NATO and UN Peacekeeping Forces should react by sending contingents against the red plague. And the commies will be responsible for that intervention. ;)
